Lots of work has been going on and the momentum is gathering on this roller coaster. Not only did Rich and John work Saturday and Sunday but the painting team went up to the bus tonight to undercoat the kitchen cupboards. Its just wonderful that we have the lighter evenings and can actually keep working until the light fades. So here we have bus work.... You will see the electrics for the lights are being set up and the top panels are being cleaned off. Note also the schedule of works - written on a large piece of wallpaper...also the radio - solar powered and wind up.
Some of the old signage is still up and will stay - who remembers signs like these ??
As it was a lighter evening, I went off in search of Spring - looking for signs that we were finally coming out of the winter months. The bus is really on a very beautiful site, you can image Poldark appearing over the hill. Unfortunately my pursuit of the signs of Spring was obstructed by these little beauties, who seemed intent on getting in the way and hissing and chasing poor Jasper. Everywhere I went they seemed to be waiting for me and they were most definitely not in the best of moods.
However, I succeeded and here we have it - signs of Spring in spite of the wild geese: (No geese, humans or dogs were harmed in the taking of these photos, although Jasper rolled in and ate rather a lot of horse poo)
Final proof of a beautiful Spring evening was the sun and the amazing Cornish sunset - just stunning. I love the engine houses and the way the sky just changes colour. The perfect location for a party or event with nature providing the setting.
