FInally we mustn't lose sight of our final destination ... Again some kitchen experimentation. We have here the amazing Tiffin Cake a speciality of Jill's which will blow your socks off. Renown throughout Cornwall and beyond, Jill's tiffin will make you go weak at the knees (after your socks have disappeared)
We also have this amazingly gorgeous cake - Louise calls it "disaster cake" but actually it should be called Paradise cake. Unbelievably light sponge with a delicate raspberry taste, decorated with white chocolate and raspberry. Anyone out there expecting a piece - so sorry it was soooo delicious we ate it all.
So whilst everyone was happily enjoying a relaxing Mother's Day - here we are again on the bus... Full steam ahead now....... Mostly we were angle grinding and sanding down the seats in preparation for painting and the last bits of carpentry were being finished off for the kitchen. Took a little while for the girlies to work out the tools but we got there in the end!! Its upside down Louise - yes Jill that bit fits on the end ...
It would appear that various yogic poses were required today for the completion of the tasks - these photos are entitled "bottoms up" and "heads down"
Working on the bus is never boring and entertainment today was provided by myself, being rendered incapacitated by laughing at my own stupidity. I cannot share the joke on here as it would be highly inappropriate (toilet humour). We were also entertained by our first official presentation ceremony - where Jill was presented with her NCAAS Level 1 certificate by the Creative Director.
I am Sharon Close, I have worked for years in Music Education and this is still something that I am passionate about. I live in the most amazing county of Cornwall and am so excited to be launching a brand new business that is a mobile catering company based on a double decker bus. My partners are Louise Walker, Jamie Walker, Jill Clark and Richard Close.
