Had a little trip up to the bus today to show Auntie Pam... We were hoping that Santa's little elves may have done some work in our absence, but it would appear that they were too busy delivering pressies... Sooooo New Year means some Action Planning to make sure everything gets done on time....
Auntie Pam tried out the seats with the table template - spot the hand holding the table in place... still you get the idea.
The new seat coverings which will go well with the paint once we have got the lights in.
Today's culinary experiment - Raspberry and strawberry pavlova....with dark chocolate....This was a Faye Ripley recipe from her book "Faye Makes it Easy " Sharon didn't make it quite so easy, but it was delicious. This will definitely be making an appearance on the bus.
These really do taste as delicious as they look. A bit of an experiment with flavours - these are banana, maple syrup and pecan cupcakes. I also picked up a few tips on creating the perfect cupcake. The actual cake is really light. I think if we sell these on the bus I may well add in an extra banana to balance out the flavour a bit more and perhaps pipe on the butter icing - I was going for the rustic look here! This recipe came from Cupcake Jemma's new book "the Cake Book" which is featured on Jamie Oliver's Food Tube. You can try lots of recipes for free by following her videos - https://www.youtube.com/user/CupcakeJemma
I actually prefer the book, because I have such a terrible memory, so I can just keep referring back to the recipes. Can't wait to try red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing, super lemony-meringue cake and jaffa cake.......
Creating the hatch and getting some of the metal welded......Thanks to John Lockie for this amazing photograph....Check out his facebook page : https://www.facebook.com/AimeeJohn.Memories.Photography
Slowly coming together and getting the wood cut to size...
The first table cut to size, love the rounded edges....
The hatch position from the outside...just a little bit worried at how high it is.... Short people may have trouble reaching their coffee !!!
Loving the view from the front window...and it was raining today!!!!
